Girls’ Education Baseline Study: Insights from Adolescent Girls in East Africa

This baseline report maps the policy, practice, and funding landscape for girls’ education in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Using a mixed-methods comparative approach, the study analyzes 155 organizations, 75 interventions, 30 policies, and 130 funders across the region. The findings highlight systemic barriers affecting adolescent girls’ secondary education and identify effective, multi-dimensional interventions that can drive transformative change.
