Learner Centred Teaching
Covid-19 crisis caused prolonged school closure leading to enhanced use of remote and blended learning. However, these have resulted in multiple forms of educational inequity, as well as the potential emergence of new forms of marginalisation. In a bid to ensure no child is left behind, RELI – Learner Centered Teaching (LCT) thematic group developed these home-learning resources. The objective is to expand learning opportunities beyond the classroom for improved learning outcomes.
The resources include;
(a) home learning resources for use by learners in Lower primary to Middle primary level
(b) instructions for parents/caregivers to enable them support their children utilize the resources.
Members of the community will also find these resources particularly useful during school holidays and also in the event of school disruption to learning as experienced during Covid-19 pandemic.
