education to Africa\u2019s social and economic transformation, the African Union has dedicated 2024 as the year of Education. This was officially announced on September 20th, 2022, by the Chair of the African Union HE. President Macky Sall of Senegal. The move was intended to keep the momentum going from the commitments made by African heads of government to implement the recommendations committed during the Transforming Education Summit taking place in New York.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1571516 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"1571516\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1df8fa9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1df8fa9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The AU Year of Education has inspired the East African Community (EAC) member states &#8211; in partnership with the Regional Education Learning Initiative Africa (RELI-Africa), the People\u2019s Action for Learning (PAL) Network, the African Curriculum Association (ACA), with the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) to<strong> organise a regional conference and a call to action towards achieving holistic learning for all children in the region<\/strong>. The EAC Regional conference is, therefore, a call for joint action and for \u201crestlessness in reflecting on learning as a pressing social justice issue in the region\u201d. Rather than be-labour challenges, the conference adopts a solutions-focus, sharing innovations and evidence on what has worked in our context, with a strong call to commit for our children.<\/p><p>The conference will bring together a cross-section of participants from the 8 Partner States of the EAC as well as select participants from other African countries. The target audience will be high-level officials (Ministers or Principal Secretaries), policymakers (curriculum officers, ministry officials, parliamentarians), teachers, students, development partners, Civil society organisations, and research\/academic institutions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element
